Why This Role Exists
Planning & Scheduling is a new product vertical for Innovapptive. You build the team from scratch: hire, set culture, define architecture with the FS Architect, and ship MVP. This is a greenfield opportunity inside an enterprise platform company with 59 existing customers. You have a FS Architect, a Lead, and two engineers joining. QA and additional engineers to hire.
What You Own
- P&S product team: 6 HC (growing). EM + Architect + 3 engineers + QA.
- Product delivery: sprint planning, velocity, on-time ≥90%. Work closely with Product Management.
- Architecture: partner with FS Architect on MEAN/MERN stack, SAP PP/PM integration, multi-tenant SaaS design.
- Team culture: hire well, set engineering standards from day one, enforce code review and quality gates.
- Integration with platform: consume Mobile Platform, Integration, and AI capabilities. Don’t rebuild.
- People: hiring pipeline, performance classification, coaching. Build a high-density team.
You Must Have
- 5+ years managing engineering teams. Experience building teams/products from zero.
- Full-stack engineering background (Node.js/MEAN/MERN preferred).
- Experience with SAP modules (PP, PM, QM) or industrial planning/scheduling systems.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity: requirements evolving, team forming, architecture in flux.
- Strong hiring instinct: you know how to spot and attract A-tier talent for a new team.
Nice to Have
- Building multi-tenant SaaS products from scratch.
- Connected workforce / industrial IoT platforms.
- AI-driven planning or scheduling optimization.
- Cloud cost awareness (AWS).
You Will Be Measured On
- Team operational (6 HC hired and productive) by end of Q2.
- MVP scoped and first sprint delivered within 60 days of start.
- Engineering standards: 100% code review, branch protection, quality gates from sprint 1.
- On-time delivery ≥90%. Zero quality shortcuts for speed.
