The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & Security Consultant, hands-on experience to join our Field Technology/Product Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for SAP Basis administration, SAP Security, system installation and configuration, add-on creation/deployment, transport management, technical troubleshooting, and security governance across customer and internal SAP landscapes. The role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and customer technical teams to deliver secure, stable, and production-ready SAP environments.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Perform SAP Basis administration including system monitoring, health checks, performance analysis, background job management, RFC configuration, spool administration, and system availability activities.
• Install and deploy SAP add-ons, support package stacks, SAP Notes, kernel patches, and other SAP components using appropriate SAP tools and procedures.
• Manage SAP transport activities using CTS/TMS, including transport sequencing, import validation, troubleshooting, and coordination across DEV, QA, and PRD landscapes.
• Perform SAP Security administration including user provisioning, role creation and maintenance, authorization troubleshooting, access reviews, and segregation-of-duties considerations.
• Support SAP authentication and identity integrations such as SSO, SAML, certificates, SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS), Microsoft Entra ID, and other enterprise identity platforms as applicable.
• Configure and troubleshoot SAP connectivity components including RFCs, SAP Gateway, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP BTP connectivity, and integration endpoints.
• Analyze SAP system logs, dumps, traces, work processes, locks, database issues, and integration errors to identify root causes and drive resolution.
• Support SAP HANA and other SAP-supported databases from a Basis administration perspective, including monitoring, connectivity, backup coordination, and performance troubleshooting.
• Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, client copies, and environment provisioning activities.
• Work directly with customer Basis, Security, Infrastructure, Network, and Identity teams during implementation, UAT, go-live, and post-production support.
• Coordinate with Product, QA, Engineering, DevOps, and Field Technology teams for deployment readiness, technical validation, and issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation covering SAP configurations, security roles, system setup, interfaces, operational procedures, and deployment standards.
• Support deployment of Innovapptive’s SaaS and mobile application products by ensuring the required SAP technical, security, connectivity, and integration prerequisites are configured and validated.
• Participate in technical assessments, customer workshops, troubleshooting sessions, and knowledge-transfer activities.

What You Bring to the Team:

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, with practical exposure to SAP Security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4HANA system administration in multi-system landscapes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP installations, upgrades, kernel patching, support packages, SAP Notes, SPAM/SAINT, and add-on deployments.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP TMS/CTS, RFCs, background jobs, SAP Gateway, system monitoring, work processes, logs, dumps, and troubleshooting tools.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Security concepts including roles, profiles, authorization objects, user administration, role assignment, and authorization troubleshooting.
• Experience with SAP authentication and identity technologies such as SSO, SAML, certificates, SAP IAS, Microsoft Entra ID, or equivalent enterprise IAM platforms.
• Experience with SAP Cloud Connector and connectivity between SAP systems, SAP BTP, and external applications.
• Ability to learn and adopt new SAP technologies, security frameworks, cloud platforms, and automation capabilities as part of ongoing product and customer deployment requirements.
• Explore and adopt AI capabilities for SAP administration, security monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, knowledge management, and operational efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their potential application within SAP, cloud, security, and enterprise integration landscapes
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA database administration from a Basis perspective; exposure to Oracle or SQL Server is an advantage.
• Understanding of SAP security hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, certificate/key management, and audit/compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across SAP application, database, network, and integration layers.
• Experience working with customer technical teams and managing technical activities during UAT, production deployment, and hypercare.
• Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support critical customer environments.
• Willingness to work from Hyderabad and travel to customer locations when required.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SAP BTP, Integration Suite, API Management, and Cloud Foundry environments.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, Fiori Launchpad, and SAP Gateway administration.
• Knowledge of SAP GRC, access governance, audit controls, and compliance processes.
• Experience with enterprise identity platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or CyberArk.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud infrastructure and enterprise networking concepts such as VPN, proxy, firewall, and DNS.
• Interest or exposure to AI/GenAI, AI-assisted troubleshooting, automation, and AI security concepts. 
• SAP Basis or Security certification is an advantage.
