Why This Role Exists

Our infrastructure footprint is growing rapidly across cloud, applications, and internal systems. We need a strong System Administrator to ensure stability, security, and scalability of IT operations while enabling teams to work efficiently.

This role is critical to maintaining uptime, enforcing compliance, supporting L1 teams, and driving automation across IT operations.

What You Own

• Server and infrastructure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Day-to-day IT operations, uptime, and system performance.
• L2 support escalation for L1 IT teams.
• Automation of repetitive IT and system administration tasks.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of server, network, and system issues.
• Contribution to IT projects and infrastructure improvements.
• System documentation, access control, and operational procedures.

You Must Have

• 3–6 years of experience in System Administration or IT Infrastructure roles.
• Strong expertise in Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Solid understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).
• Experience troubleshooting server and network issues in production environments.
• Hands-on scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Knowledge of security best practices and system compliance.
• Ability to support and guide L1 teams effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Exposure to SaaS/product-based companies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Certifications (Microsoft, RHCSA/RHCE, or equivalent).
• Experience with ITSM tools and automation frameworks.

• ≥99.9% system uptime and availability.
• Resolution of critical issues within defined SLAs.
• Reduction in manual tasks through automation.
• L1 team efficiency and reduced escalation rates.
• Compliance adherence and audit readiness.
• Timely delivery of infrastructure and IT improvement initiatives.
